We have exactly 5 and a half weeks to go to complete a fun filled 2025. This week we celebrate some of our senior students working alongside David Riley who is writing a book with them for us and our community. I am so proud of our students in how they have worked hard and to a deadline to complete their writing and illustrations. I am excited for when we receive our final copies. Well done and a huge thanks to Whaea Deirdre and Whaea Danielle who led the project.
Attendance - please keep sending your child to school every day. We still have lots of testing to do and a production to perform where all classes will share their celebration of their learning through the Arts on Friday 5th of December.
Lates - we still have lots of children coming to school after 9am. Please, please help us by getting your child to school on time and ready to learn. If you need help, please let me know.
Teachers are also working on reports and on Tuesday 16th of December, all our students will get to meet their new teacher for 2026 and a copy of their report. So it is important that your child comes to school every day.

'Rolling of the red carpet' thanks to the Ted Manson Foundation!'
Kia ora! That sounds like an absolutely wonderful day for the boys!
It's fantastic that their hard work and progress (mahi) were acknowledged with such a special opportunity. Rolling out the red carpet, thanks to the Ted Manson Foundation, must have been an incredible experience!
Please extend a big tino pai (very good) to:
Mrs Miers for maintaining the relationship that made this possible.
Whaea Saane for allowing the group to participate.
And especially to the boys for earning this recognition!
It's great to see such positive initiatives happening.
We know how special toys and household treasures are, and that’s why we ask that they stay safe at home. When brought to school, they can sometimes get lost, broken, or used in ways that aren’t safe. At school, we have plenty of fun activities and learning tools to keep everyone busy and happy. Thanks for helping us keep our classrooms and playgrounds safe and focused on learning.
MANA KIDS
We would like to bring to your attention a trending health concern that we are seeing across our schools, and across the region. Our data indicates a rise in scabies cases in Tāmaki Makaurau, particularly among households with school-aged children in Counties Manukau. This is a contagious skin condition that won’t go away without appropriate treatment and can become infected. Mana Kidz can help to assess and treat the whole whānau at no cost. We have created a flyer with simple health information on scabies that we would like to share with your school communities in the hope of helping to treat and reduce the spread of scabies.
BIBLE CLUB
After School Kids Bible Club is on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm-4.30pm. Come along for some fun with games, food, singing and a Bible story. All children are most welcome and there is no cost to attend. Children will need to fill in a form, available from the office before starting at the Club. Run by Carole & John Leonard Phone number 0278780020 or 09 2662082 Feel free to ring

Community Notices
Tennis coaching for juniors starts for Term 4 on Friday 10th October 2025 - 12 Dec 2025. We welcome ages 4-17 and all skill levels.
Parents are seeing the results of how we use fun, adventure and friendship to build girls' confidence. Guiding is a place where girls can be girls, where they will discover their passions, contribute to their communities and form friendships in a safe and positive environment. Our non-competitive learning environment is open-minded and values based. It’s a supportive place to grow confident, adventurous girls who are ready to be tomorrow’s leaders.
We have spaces for girls aged 7-9yrs at our Clover Park unit to come along and make friends, build confidence, boost self-esteem and learn new life-skills.
In June, we launched a promotional campaign for our Empowering Tamariki – Bully Awareness and Prevention programme for primary schools. We were thrilled with the positive response and are especially grateful for the constructive feedback we received. This feedback has led to the development of a new supporting resource: a parent course designed to align with the teaching resource used in schools.
The Parent Course is now available in both audio and written formats and complements the Bully Awareness and Prevention programme delivered in classrooms. It offers practical guidance to help parents approach bullying concerns calmly and constructively, while also providing strategies to support their child effectively. These resources are designed to strengthen relationships between schools and whānau, and to foster a cohesive, supportive approach to student wellbeing.
